Users of the SmartlinQ Device will be able to call upto four loved ones using one of the 4 speed dial buttons on the device. The SOS button is located in the centre of the phone.

If the user gets into any difficulty, one press of the SOS button will place an emergency call to Careline. The following will then take place:

• The Careline Operator will immediately answer the call and be able to locate the exact position of the user via GPS.
• The highly trained careline operators will also have access to all the users medical history, contact details and other relevant information.
• At the same time, the device will send an SMS to a previously chosen number (perhaps a relative), to inform them that the user has activated the SOS button. This can also be sent as an email. 
• The Careline Operator will ascertain the nature of the call by talking to the user.
• If emergency help is required, the operator will summon the appropriate Emergency Service to the user's location.
• Careline will continue to communcate with the user until assistance arrives.
